A hernia repair is a small operation and children usually recover within a few days. The stitches are normally dissolvable and do not need removal.
Care at home / घर पर देखभाल
- Keep the dressing clean and dry; sponge baths for about 48 hours, then normal gentle bathing. / ड्रेसिंग साफ़-सूखी रखें; लगभग 48 घंटे स्पंज स्नान, फिर सामान्य।
- Give pain relief as prescribed. / बताए अनुसार दर्द-निवारक दें।
- Some swelling or bruising of the groin or scrotum is normal and settles over days. / जांघ-कमर/अंडकोष की कुछ सूजन या नीला पड़ना सामान्य है।
Activity / गतिविधि
- Quiet play for the first few days. / पहले कुछ दिन शांत खेल।
- Avoid rough play, cycling and straddle toys for about 2 weeks. / लगभग 2 सप्ताह तक उछल-कूद, साइकिल एवं घोड़ी-वाले खिलौनों से बचें।
- Most children return to school within a few days. / अधिकांश बच्चे कुछ दिनों में स्कूल लौट जाते हैं।
