Aria Healthcare is committed to a safe, fair and professional environment for all staff, patients and visitors.

Employment Policy

Working hours

  • Standard shift: 8 hours · Three shifts per day
  • NICU/PICU: rotational 8-hour shifts, 24×7 coverage
  • Weekly off: one rostered day per week
  • Overtime compensated per applicable labour law

Dress code

  • All clinical staff: designated Aria Healthcare scrubs or uniform on duty
  • ID badge visible at all times within the hospital
  • PPE as required by unit protocol

Patient confidentiality

  • Patient information — clinical, personal or financial — is strictly confidential
  • No sharing of patient details on social media or messaging platforms
  • Breach is grounds for immediate disciplinary action

Mobile phone use

  • Restricted in clinical areas (NICU, OT, PICU, emergency)
  • Permitted during authorised breaks in designated areas

Grievance

  • Raise concerns directly with the Medical Director or Nursing Superintendent
  • Written complaints acknowledged within 7 working days

Disciplinary process

  • Verbal warning → written warning → final warning → termination
  • Serious misconduct (patient harm, theft, confidentiality breach) may result in immediate termination

Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Policy

Aria Healthcare has zero tolerance for sexual harassment in any form. आरिया हेल्थकेयर में यौन उत्पीड़न के लिए शून्य-सहनशीलता की नीति है।

Filing a complaint

  • Written complaint to the IC within 3 months of the incident
  • IC may extend this by a further 3 months in justified circumstances
  • If unable to write, IC will assist in making the complaint
  • Complaints treated with strict confidentiality throughout

Inquiry process

  • Inquiry completed within 90 days of receiving complaint
  • Both parties heard — principles of natural justice apply
  • Retaliation against complainant or witness is itself a separate offence
  • Knowingly false complaints will attract disciplinary action

Vaccination & Infection Control Policy

Mandatory vaccinations — all clinical staff

  • Hepatitis B — complete 3-dose series; proof required at joining or vaccination provided at hospital cost
  • Tetanus-Toxoid (TT) — proof required or administered at hospital cost
  • COVID-19 — complete primary series as per national schedule
  • Influenza — annual, strongly recommended

Standard infection control

  • Hand hygiene — WHO 5 Moments protocol at all times
  • PPE — gloves, mask, gown and eye protection per unit protocol
  • Needle-stick injury — report immediately; post-exposure protocol within 2 hours
  • Biomedical waste — colour-coded bins per BMWM Rules 2016

NICU-specific rules

  • Hand wash + alcohol rub mandatory before every NICU entry
  • Maximum 1 parent at a time
  • No entry with fever, cough, rash or skin infection
  • No food or drink inside NICU
  • No photography or video of any infant inside NICU

Visitor Policy

General ward

  • Visiting hours: 10 am – 12 noon · 5 pm – 7 pm
  • Maximum 2 visitors per patient at any time
  • One attendant may stay overnight (subject to ward capacity)

NICU / PICU

  • Parents only — maximum 1 at a time
  • Hand hygiene mandatory before entry
  • No visitors with fever, cough, cold or skin infection
  • No children under 12 as visitors
  • No photography or video inside NICU/PICU

NICU/PICU: केवल माता-पिता (एक बार में 1) · बीमार व्यक्ति प्रवेश नहीं

Emergency

  • 1 attendant permitted with the patient
  • Waiting area outside emergency

General rules · सामान्य नियम

  • Visitors must not disturb other patients or staff
  • Smoking, alcohol and tobacco strictly prohibited on premises
  • Valuables are the responsibility of the patient/attendant
  • Hospital staff may ask any visitor to leave if patient care is affected
